In plain English.

This policy covers what data we collect when you register for The Outbound Summit, watch a session, buy an All-Access Pass, or apply to speak — and the rights you have over it.

§ 01

What we collect

We collect only what's needed to run the event:

Registration
Name, email, company, role. Required to send you the live link and event reminders.
Pass purchase
Billing email, country, and payment method last-4 (handled by Stripe — we never see card numbers).
Speaker apps
The fields you fill in on the application form, plus any links you share.
Usage data
Pages visited, sessions watched, basic device info, IP. Used to understand what's working.
Live attendance
Your name & questions appear in chat to other attendees. Don't share things you wouldn't want public.
§ 02

How we use it

  • Send you the live link, schedule, and post-event recap.
  • Deliver All-Access Pass benefits (recordings, playbooks, community).
  • Read & reply to speaker applications.
  • Improve the event & site based on what people actually use.
  • Send (occasional) emails about future Summit volumes — opt-out at any time.
§ 03

Storage & security

Data is stored on AWS (US-West) and processed by trusted vendors (Stripe for payments, Postmark/Resend for email, Mux/Vimeo for video). We use industry-standard measures but no system is 100% secure.

§ 04

Sharing & disclosure

We don't sell your data. We don't share attendee lists with sponsors. We don't hand your email to speakers. The only exceptions: legal compliance, fraud prevention, or processors who help us run the event.
§ 05

Marketing & ads

We may run paid ads on Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube to promote upcoming Summit volumes. To measure those ads, we use:

Meta Pixel
Tracks whether someone who clicked a Meta ad ended up registering.
Google Tag
Same idea, for Google Ads.
LinkedIn Insight
Same idea, for LinkedIn Ads.

You can opt out via your ad preferences with each platform, or block third-party cookies in your browser. EU/UK users see a consent banner first.

§ 06

Cookies & tracking

We use a small number of cookies:

Essential
Login state, session, anti-fraud. Required.
Analytics
First-party Plausible/PostHog. Lets us see which sections people read.
Advertising
Meta, Google, LinkedIn pixels (only if you accept). See § 05.
§ 07

Your rights

Access
Request a copy of your data.
Correction
Fix anything wrong.
Deletion
Have your data removed (subject to legal retention).
Portability
Get your data in a portable format.
Opt-out
Unsubscribe from marketing emails — link in every email.

Email privacy@outboundsummit.co for any of the above. We respond within 30 days.

§ 08

Children's privacy

The Outbound Summit is built for working professionals. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you think we have, contact us and we'll delete it.

§ 09

International users

If you're outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US under standard contractual clauses. EU/UK users have additional rights under GDPR; California residents under CCPA. Email us to exercise them.

§ 10

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top tells you when this version was published.
